i feel like a butthead but i really wanted to update my art tag with something so i don’t get overly depressed everytime i go to it.

this is super close to the original mucha drawing because i just love his style so much that there’s really no way that i could possibly change it. i added a bit of my own “touch” to it, mostly with a few details and shading and the border.

So I had this amazing dream last night that sort of came out like someone was reading from a story book. There was even this nice narrative voice. This picture does it no justice, really. There was this huge city and the God that had protected the area was tired of being neglected, laughed at, ignored, and used for bad purposes. So one day he decided to remind the people that he did indeed exist, and that he was nothing to laugh at, that he was responsible for the prosperity and luck the people in the area had. In the dream the ground shook and the buildings fell and he came up as this big black void. Then these two pure white orbs came out and his eyes rolled around, there was a crack in the orb and it snapped open to reveal his huge mouth and he began to eat the city right up.

In the dream he didn’t look ferocious at all. He was very calm and reserved, as if this was nothing to him. He had simply made up his mind about his decision to destroy the city and was very content with eating everything in these big swoops of his jaw.

The webcam really cannot capture this picture well at all. But this is my first “serious” attempt at colouring something (especially with coloured pencils).

I just noticed there are actually bits out of focus and the greens are more varied and darker in bits in real life I SWEAR.

You know, I really wish people were more aware about the horrible things that imaginary creatures go through as well. Their rights are just as important.

Let’s put an end to these atrocities.

I was going to trace and do a better version of this because his eyes and nose are a bit wonky but ehhhhh. I will save that ambition for Tricia’s actual Christmas card, right!

I laugh at everything oh my GOD, but while I was waiting for my ride today, I decided to doodle and this came out… and I just, I don’t know. I laugh at my own jokes and stupid shit more than other people do so I’m sure no one else will find this as funny as I do but oh my god.
